I loved fishing when I was really really small - didn't mind the fish looking at me or the thought of eating it, it was the taste that put me off, when i found out that people eat things like shrimp or crabs - yeck.... how could they - they are just so gross and even more fishy than fish.....

When I was about 5 or 6 I went to a friend’s house to play and have dinner. I told my friend’s mom I did not like fish and I would not eat it. My mom told her I would eat what ever else she made but I did not like fish. I told her again right before she started making dinner. Low and behold at dinner I got fish. She told me no one ever told her I did not like fish. She obviously has hearing issues. I was not aloud to leave the table until the fish was gone. I gagged down every bite and I think it took a few hours. I just remember sitting at that table alone with the fish. I was afraid to stand up for myself because my friend’s mom would sometimes hit her so I was afraid she might hit me if I did not do what she said. I think my fish thing was probably something I would have gotten over later in life but now I am scared for life.
